Fort Worth SWE members had fun sharing their enthusiasm for engineering at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History’s Girls Engineering Day on February 24th. The museum offered this Saturday event to celebrate Engineer’s Week. Kids of all ages explored engineering through hands-on activities and numerous demonstrations staffed by local engineers and engineering students. Fort Worth SWE challenged kids to build KEVA block bridges and construct musical instruments using recycled materials. Our engineers also shared insights about their jobs and what kinds of activities can help kids learn more about engineering and prepare them if they are interested in STEM careers.
