Sherry Williams

After attending Angelo State University and Texas Tech University, Williams completed her B.S.in Civil Engineering in May 1997. Williams earned her Engineering License in 2001 while working for TxDOT. With over 20 years of experience in project management and civil construction spanning projects worth $500 million, Williams now works as a Senior Project Manager at Urban Engineers, specializing in roadway and rail construction.
In addition to her extensive technical resume, Williams volunteers with the Boosting Engineering Science and Technology Program, Future Cities, Girl Scouts, and the other organizations of ASCE, ASHE, WTS, and AREMA. Williams has also served as the past Region C Governor, Region C Lt Governor, and Fort Worth SWE Section Representative.

Publicity Committee
Publish newsletter, maintain and update website, Maintain social media sites.
Awards Committee
Determine awards available to our local section and its members. Write and submit awards on behalf of our section and also help with individual awards.
Outreach Committee
Determine outreach events, coordinate volunteers, arrange suitable locations for events, and more!
Social Activities Committee
Arrange monthly meeting locations, plan holiday and Christmas Socials, plan end of year banquet, and lots more!
Finance Committee
Coordinate fundraising activities, oversee scholarship activity, and maintain inventory of the FWSWE Boutique.
Membership Committee
Maintain contact with new members and potential new members as well as attempt contact with inactive members. Also work with the social committee to plan events specific to recruitment.
