Fort Worth SWE had a wonderful time with 22 young girls associated with Girls Inc Tarrant County, a non-profit for girl empowerment. Hosted at the Northwest Branch Fort Worth Public Library, Fort Worth SWE members led the participants through multiple STEM activities across a variety of engineering and science disciplines such as:
- Electrical Engineering through firefly circuit board activity
- Weather Science through ‘Rain Cloud in a Jar’ activity
- Civil Engineering through candy geodesic dome activity
- Mechanical Engineering through mechanical arm grabber activity
- Chemical Engineering through homemade lip gloss activity
