Event Recap: FW SWE Summer Outreach 2016

We had a great group at this year’s Summer Outreach Event! Girls Inc. brought 21 bright and eager young ladies, and both the Fort Worth Professional and UTA SWE sections were well-represented with volunteers (Natalie White, Jody Snow, Sherry Williams, Amanda Stahlnecker, Carol Bachman, and Katia Gomez from SWE FW; Christian Gonzales, Vaishanavi Mirapurkar, Raveena Jadhav, and Adishrre Annabathula from UTA SWE)

The girls made Jitter Bots (electrical & mechanical engineering), craft stick bridges (civil engineering), and lip gloss (chemical engineering).  They always love being able to take home their creations! Everyone had a great time, and we were so excited to have nearly double the attendance as last year. Special thanks to UTA for allowing us to use the Nedderman Hall atrium for our event, and to Girls Inc. for being such a great partner for marketing and logistics for this event. See you next summer!
