Fort Worth SWE Offers Engineering Challenges during Future City Competition

The Fort Worth SWE section members offered engineering challenges to the students competing at 2014 DFW Future City Competition while they waited between their interviews and presentations.  This year the challenges were:
–        Build an aluminum foil boat to hold as many washers as possible
–        Built a popsicle bridge to span at least 12 inches that holds a container of washers using the fewest sticks
–        Build the tallest aluminum foil structure
Students had fun trying (and sometimes re-trying!) building their structures.  We had a little friendly competition going on!  The students had so much fun that they were disappointed when it was time to wind up the event.
