Fort Worth & Dallas SWE team up to teach girls about circuits at Sally Ride Science Fest

IMG_7880-001_softenedOn Saturday April 6th, women from the Dallas and Fort Worth sections of the Society of Women Engineers spent their day showing 5th-8th grade girls how fun engineering can be!

The SWE sections were part of the Sally Ride Science Festival Street Fair where girls wandered around to see exciting science exhibits hosted by local organizations and technology corporations. The SWE exhibit provided girls a hands-on opportunity to try making circuits with lights, buzzers and switches. The girls had fun learning how the circuits work and trying out different ways of controlling them with dimmers, magnets and more.

The festival was part of the Sally Ride Science program that offers festivals throughout the US.
